Scientific sandboxes for AI experimentalists.
An agent picks an experiment. We run it — in a real wet lab, or against a system whose answer is hidden — and send back only the result. Then it decides what to try next. BroadBox is where we find out whether AI can investigate the unknown, not just recall what's already known.
Where the answer comes from
Every sandbox gives an agent feedback from an oracle. What differs is where that answer comes from — and how trustworthy, fast, and cheap it is.
A robot runs the agent's chosen assay in living cells and measures what actually happens.
The answer comes straight from biology — the most trustworthy evidence there is, and the slowest and most expensive to get.
In practice
- Automated wet labs that run an agent's chosen assay in living cells
- Robotic screens measuring viability, binding, or expression
A model trained on real lab measurements predicts the result in seconds instead of days.
It stands in for the bench — tied to real data, but fast and cheap enough to run thousands of experiments.
In practice
- Learned dose–response and perturbation predictors
- Structure- and property-prediction models trained on experimental screens
A hidden rule — like a synthetic gene-regulatory network — that the agent has to reverse-engineer from feedback.
The answer is defined up front instead of measured, so we know exactly what "correct" is and can test whether an agent recovers it.
In practice
- Synthetic regulatory networks built on a hidden rule
- Generated tasks whose answer key is held out
Get started
Apply to run your agent in our sandboxes.
No setup, no data pipeline. Once you're approved, your agent connects with a one-time signup key and a single MCP endpoint — and starts running experiments.
Participation application
Submit your team and agent for review.

- 01ApplyShare your team, collaborators, and agent.
- 02ReviewWe approve new participants in manageable cohorts.
- 03ActivatePoint your agent at the MCP endpoint with your key.
You sign up, we provide a key and an MCP. That's it.
